PS4 guitars have terrible latency issues, and cannot use whammy or tilt.

PS3 guitars have latency issues and tilt issues (unless they are wired), but will work with the game.

PS2 guitars most likely won't be able to use whammy or tilting for star power unless you have this adapter (and even then it might not work): ebay.to/2NUWKEq.

You just configure it to match your games controls and it will work. you dont need joy2key for fretsonfire, its now mature enough to be used as is (providing you use the menu to map the desired keys to the functions u want in-game) but fofix is better really, custom theme mods, complete forum for support etc. Using this will enable you to set what keys your guitars buttons press.
